Even though I’m not a mom (duh), Mother’s Day is one of my favorite Hallmark-y holidays to celebrate. Moms should be celebrated every day, but Mother’s Day is the day when moms, or motherly figures, are truly celebrated. Celebrating my mom at brunch or dinner, or seeing a movie are such simple things, but there truly is something about Mother’s Day that makes those simple activities all the more special. Every year for Mother’s Day, my siblings and I try to work together to come up with one joint gift for our mom, then we normally will each give her our own individual gifts. I normally gravitate towards getting my mom her favorite meal or flowers, and of course, a card. There’s nothing my mom loves more than flowers or a nice hand-written note, but I think I can step it up a notch with a little DIY action, and you can too.
