The Celebrity Kids We Wish We Were Friends With

From their trips to jail to their (multiple) trips down the aisle, we’ve seen celebrity kids crash and burn before our eyes. Though kids of celebs often get a bad rap, there are also tons of them who are genuinely cool people. Some celeb kids choose to follow in Mom and Dad’s footsteps by finding their own place in the limelight, and some are just content to go to college and survive in the real world. No matter what the case, there are legit celeb kids out there, and HC has compiled a list of the ones we’d most like to hang with (or admire from afar, whatever works!)

Jack Quaid

Jack Quaid, 19, may be new on the movie scene (look for him as Marvel in next month’s The Hunger Games) but he’s no stranger to acting. As the son of rom-com sweetheart Meg Ryan and hot teacher from The Rookie Dennis Quaid, Jack has seen his fair share of Hollywood. Blessed with his mom’s adorable curls and his dad’s charming smile, Quaid’s future in Hollywood looks bright.

Maude Apatow
As the older daughter of actress Leslie Mann and producer Judd Apatow, Maude Apatow, 13, is destined for stardom. Between her mom’s gorgeous looks and her dad’s eye for great humor, Maude is sure to have to whole package. She has played in a couple of her dad’s films, including Knocked Up and Funny People, and she shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Suri Cruise
Okay, so this fashionable little lady might be closer in age to the kids you babysit, but spending an hour with the adorable 5-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes could definitely be a learning experience. Suri mixes designer handbags in with her everyday look of adorable dresses and accessories to match. Suri has become such an icon, there is a blog called Suri’s Burn Book that is made to look like something Suri snarkily writes about other celebrity children.

Lourdes Leon
As the daughter of Madonna, Lourdes, known as Lola, has grown up in the spotlight. This 15-year-old has always shown a great sense of fashion, and she designs a clothing line for Macy’s with her mom. Lola has yet to make the news with a scandal, and she seems to have her head in the right place. Hanging with Lola could mean sitting front row at a fashion show or just grabbing coffee and talking about what her next blog post will be about.

Lorraine Nicholson
Lorraine, the 21-year-old daughter of Jack Nicholson, has her fair share of the spotlight. From acting in movies to being chosen as Miss Golden Globe, she’s done the Hollywood scene. She now keeps it a little lower key as a Literary Arts major at Brown University. Hanging with her could mean hitting up the library for a study sesh or helping her plan out her next career move. Though she’s in college now, she still wants to pursue an acting career.

Bee Shaffer
This 24-year old was born with fashion in her blood. As the daughter of Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Shaffer grew up knowing the ins and outs of fashion. Pursuing a career in fashion seems like a natural move for Shaffer, but she seems to be taking a different route. Shaffer has worked for College Humor and for Glee producer Ryan Murphy’s company in L.A. Though she is still involved in the world of entertainment, Shaffer has been working more behind-the-scenes.

Willow Smith
If you’ve listened to mainstream radio in the past year, you’ve most likely had her song, “Whip My Hair” stuck in your head for longer than you’d care to admit. In addition to her music career, the 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett has worked on two movies, I Am Legend and Kit Kitteridge- An American Girl.Though Willow is young, she seems to be here to stay. Her song “Whip My Hair” reached number 11 on the Billboard hot 100 list, and the video was nominated for Video of the Year at the BET awards. Her album You Think You Know Me is set to drop this year.

Colin Hanks
You may remember the 34-year-old son of Tom Hanks from his role as Shaun Brumder in Orange County or as Alex Whitman is Roswell, but he’s come a long way since those days. He landed a recurring role in fan favorite show Dexter, and he’s playing Rob in the film My Mother’s Curse, starring Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand set for release this year. While he may be a little old to chill with on a regular basis, Hanks definitely has the potential to be the “Uncle Jesse” type who gives you solid advice while remaining a fun person to hang with.

Zoe Kravitz

The 23-year-old daughter of Lisa Bonet (a.k.a. Denise from The Crosby Show) and Lenny Kravitz has managed to follow in both of her parents’ footsteps by working in music and acting. She has been the singer in a band, starred in music videos, and worked in feature and indie films. In addition to her two other careers, Kravitz also models and has been the face of two Vera Wang fragrances.

Ivanka Trump
What list about awesome celebrity kids would be complete without the 30-year-old daughter of Donald and Ivanka Trump? Ivanka is a boardroom judge on The Apprentice, but she also works as the executive vice president of development and acquisitions at The Trump Organization. This girl has both brains and beauty. She has walked the runway for countless designers from Tommy Hilfiger to Versace, and she has graced the covers of several magazines. Trump is now a wife, mother, published author and designer of a chic and affordable line of shoes.

Sydney is a University of North Alabama senior majoring in Journalism and Public Communication. She is involved with Alpha Delta Chi sorority and Campus Outreach, and she works on campus as a student worker and at a department store as a shoe sales associate. When she's not running between activities, class and work, you can find Sydney laughing uncontrollably, talking to everyone, shopping, getting pedicures, reading magazines for hours, or planning her future on Pinterest. She loves Jesus, ADChi, New Girl (specifically, Jess's wardrobe and Nick Miller), glasses, discipleship and late night trips to Applebees.
