Lose the Freshman 15: The Best Kind of Easter Eggs

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Hey there collegiettes™!

Ah, spring! Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, ugly bugs become beautiful butterflies–it’s a time of renewal– a perfect time to start on your diet, right?ff8f09fc

Well, with the holidays around this weekend, that may not be the easiest thing. Whether your weekend includes a Passover seder with a high calorie meal like beef brisket or chocolate Easter bunnies galore, the holidays are often a tricky time to avoid the calories–but don’t have egg just yet!

In a time where we’re bombared with plastic eggs in every store we visit, use eggs as your inspiration for healthy eating. A tip from SELF‘s Jump Start Diet reminds us that “eggs are egg-cellent energy sources, thanks to their protein content. Not only does protein provide energy, but it’s essential to recovery, as it repairs tissue damaged during and after training.” 79caf921

Dyeing eggs this weekend? Don’t waste those hard boiled eggs! Throw those puppies in a salad or sandwich, or even munch on ’em as a quick snack. Jillian Michaels, creator of the Jump Start Diet, whole organic eggs packed with omega-3 fatty acids.
