Zayn Malik Just Released A New Song & It’s Giving Me Major Summer Vibes

The last time we heard the name of Zayn Malik he was consciously separating from Gigi Hadid and breaking all of our hearts.

But we no longer have to think of heartbreak when we hear his name (unless we stan One Direction, then some wounds just don’t heal) and can now go back to associating Zayn with sultry summer jams we so deserve.

On Thursday morning, this hottie went and released the second single from his new album, along with the accompanying music video. The song, called “Let Me,” is an R&B bop.

With the combination of 80s-inspired synth in the verses and the snapping club beat during the bridge that is quintessentially 2018, I can already sense a contender for Song of the Summer. It feels like I’m sitting poolside sipping a frozen drink, or walking into a mall and getting blasted by air conditioning.

Zayn’s first album, Mind of Mine, was released in 2016. His first single from his forthcoming album, “Dusk Till Dawn” featuring Sia, was released last year. Zayn has been teasing the release of “Let Me” for a few weeks on Twitter, and fans have already been taken away by the sexy, action-packed, cinematic music video (which includes a female lead who’s a dead ringer for Gigi).

I, on the other hand, am living for the visuals in the lyrics. How many Instagram captions do you think are going to say “duvet days and vanilla ice cream” in the next few months?

I’m excited to see what other tunes are going to come from the new Zayn album, but in the meantime I’m gonna continually loop “Let Me” until it truly feels like summer.
