Sandra Bullock Will Star in an All-Female Reboot of One of Our Favorite Movies

Brace yourselves: Sandra Bullock is set to star in an all-female reboot of Ocean’s Eleven. We’ll be the first to admit that we’ve watched the original and its two follow-up films a few (hundred) times, but what’s not to love? The winning trio of George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon. The hijinks of career criminals that you’re actually rooting for. Now, imagine that formula played out by some of Hollywood’s finest ladies.

Currently, Bullock is the only actress attached to the film, but rumor has it Jennifer Lawrence could be the next. After all, the film’s director, Gary Ross, once helmed a little flick called The Hunger Games. Maybe you’ve heard of it? And Olivia Milch is writing the script, adding even more girl power to the roster.

The project has reportedly been in the works for quite some time, and Sandra’s casting makes perfect sense, given that she recently filled a role written for George Clooney in Our Brand is Crisis.

This reboot is not the first of its kind either. Let’s not forget the recent all-female Ghostbusters remake starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. Are we the only ones loving this trend? We think not!

So, now we suppose it’s time to dream cast. In addition to Sandy and J. Law, we’d love to see other A-list actresses—like Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Blake Lively and Amy Adams, perhaps?—join in on the fun. While most reboots these days feel tired and unnecessary, this, on the other hand, we can’t wait to see!

Who would you cast in the Ocean’s Eleven reboot with Sandra Bullock?

Erin was previously the Entertainment Editor of Her Campus. She graduated from Belmont University in 2015, where she studied English and Elementary Education. Before joining the team full-time, she was a national contributing blogger, viral content writer and editorial intern at HC. In addition to her work for Her Campus, Erin was formerly an editorial assistant at Nfocus Magazine and has been published by HelloGiggles and Man Repeller. In her free time, you can find Erin falling for yet another TV boyfriend (her long list of ex-lovers includes Nathan Scott, Chuck Bass and Pacey Witter, to name a few), reading chick lit and/or celeb memoirs and hanging with her puppy/soulmate, Cooper.
