Don’t expect to see Harry Styles and Zayn Malik reunite any time soon. At least that’s what Zayn insinuated when he was asked about his former One Direction bandmates in an interview with Us Weekly.
When the singer was asked how much he talks to his fellow former 1D members, he said they’re on good terms. “We’re in touch,” Zayn said. “Everything is on a civil level. It’s not the way it used to be, obviously, because we were spending 24 hours a day in the band and now we’re growing as individual men, but we still check in.”
Though this is really nice to hear, when Zayn was pressed on whether he still talks to Harry, his reply wasn’t so nice. “To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry even when I was in the band. So I didn’t really expect that much of a relationship with him.” Well, what the heck does that mean?! What could’ve happened to cause such a divide between Zayn and Harry?
Sorry, 1D fans, but I don’t think we’re getting an answer to this head-scratcher just yet. Maybe Harry will respond to the obvious shade. Until then, it looks like the “What Makes You Beautiful” days are as good as gone, and we can only reminisce.
