YouTube Is Crashing & Twitter Is Not Having It

Yet another app is down, and this time it’s the home of those nostalgic vloggers and beloved music videos: Yep, YouTube is down. And as with any minor technical issue, Gen Z has taken to Twitter to express their frustration — because honestly, there’s nothing worse than being interrupted in the middle of Billie Eilish’s much-awaited Vanity Fair interview, or Taylor Swift’s newest music video.

The interruption started at around 1 p.m. EST, and this time, it seems to only affect some users (my fellow Brits are spared, thankfully). From the looks of it, this glitch only occurs on the mobile version of YouTube, leaving people no choice but to try again, only to watch the same 30-second advertisement and be forced out of the app. As of now, the app is unfortunately still crashing for many users — so the glitch has been going on for several hours. Out of frustration, the only obvious next step is to head to Twitter to pass the time.

Once again, Gen Z has succeeded at making a little first-world problem amusing and entertaining — and at targeting YouTube’s Twitter page, of course. So, if your app is crashing, pass the time by reading these undoubtedly hilarious memes about the situation.
