Youth Service America: Most Powerful and Influential Young People

As collegiettes™, you undoubtedly accomplish much on a day-to-day basis — and Youth Service America (YSA) wants to recognize you for it.

YSA is seeking to honor the “25 Most Powerful and Influential Young People” ages 5-25 for their significant contributions to any of five categories including Health, Education, Human Service, Human Rights or the Environment. In an effort to help young people to “know that service is power,” the YSA is calling on you to nominate your friends, family members and anybody inspirational and service-oriented by Jan. 31.

Winners will receive:

  • $1,000 to aid in continuing large-scale change in the world
  • International recognition through the Global Youth Service Day
  • The opportuniy to reach other young leaders through YSA’s annual Youth Service Institute, 25th Anniversary Webinars, Speakers Series and more
  • Access to members of YSA’s Global Youth Service Network to collaborate with those with mutual interests

The 25 winners will be announced during Global Youth Service Day 2012 (April 20-22), the largest service event in the world celebrated in more than 100 countries, and the only one dedicated to children and youth, according to the YSA’s website.

So if you know somebody who is passionate about change, who has made steps to make the world a better place, and who is an inspiration to other young people, nominate them today!
