Whoa, Whoa, Whoa—Lana Condor & Noah Centineo Are Returning for a ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Sequel

It's official: Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are reuniting for a To All the Boys I've Loved Before sequel.

Rumors of a follow-up to the Netflix rom-com have been swirling for awhile now, especially after the film's director, Susan Johnson, shared a photo of a Collider article that reported the news of the sequel, captioning it, "Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Thanks for the support, everyone!!! It’s all you!"

But the second film wasn't confirmed until Wednesday evening, when Condor posted an Instagram video exclaiming, "I am so excited it's officially official!"

In the video, the actress is on FaceTime with Centineo, talking about needing to "sign a new contract." Centineo responds with Kavinsky's iconic "Woah, woah, woah," line, adding that he wanted to make the first rule in said contract — watching The Christmas Prince 1 and 2 together.

Condor agrees, but only if they can "tell the fans about their little secret."

Cue the news. "Bring on the sequel!" Centineo says.

Before the clip ends, Condor also mentions John Ambrose McClaren (the guy who shows up at the original film's conclusion). Perhaps Netflix is looking for a new actor?

The streaming giant released a statement of its own regarding the sequel on Wednesday, according to Entertainment Weekly. In true TATBILB form, it was in the form of a handwritten note, reading, "I miss you. I know it’s only been a few months and I swear I wasn’t trying to avoid you; I just didn’t know how to answer your question without lying to you."

The statement continued, "The truth isn’t always simple or straightforward — and as we know all too well, dating contracts have a way of quickly getting complicated. But, the letters are out…it’s true. A To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is coming to Netflix. And yes, you can seamlessly continue to run your #Covinsky fan accounts because your dreamy stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are in on it too. So let’s do this. I promise the next chapter will be well worth the wait! Love, Netflix."

The film is based on the 2014 book of the same name by Jenny Han. However, it's unknown whether or not the sequel will follow the plot of her next book in the series, P.S. I Still Love You.
