Hey y’all!!
Okay, so this is what my week has been like… I’ve FINALLY got my internship schedule under wraps… On Mondays and Tuesdays, I report to duty at 10am and I work until 6pm… and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, I report at (get ready) 6am at the LATEST and work until noon.
That’s right, I go to bed at 10:00pm on Thursday nights… but I don’t mind!! I love my internship!! I’m learning SO much and meeting some INCREDIBLE people!! The one thing that I find kind of hard to deal with is getting all dolled up at 4:30 in the morning… But I think I’m doing okay! Here’s an example of my work attire!
Also, IT’S SO DARN COLD IN THIS CITY. I seriously have considered that MAYBE I was crazy for moving here, but this morning (during my 5:45am walk to work) it was 19 degrees, WITH A WINDCHILL OF 3 DEGREES!!!
… I wanted to cry, but I knew if I did, my tears would freeze onto my cheeks and I’d be even colder than I was… I seriously felt like I was skiing down a mountain NAKED…
One thing I have found totally helpful, though, are these Juicy Couture stockings I bought… Since I have to wear dress shoes, they work with what I’m wearing. They are really pretty on my feet, they allow air in when I’m sitting in the heat, but also keep my feet warm when I’m outside! I highly recommend them!
So, this week, I worked all five days at my internship and also applied for part time paying jobs. I applied to two different places that I’m EXTREMELY passionate about: 1.) Juicy Couture and 2.) Starbucks. (I hate to admit this, but I can’t lie… I have a serious addiction to grande, iced, nonfat one-and-a-half-splenda lattes… don’t ask.) So I’ll let you know if I get either… I think we all know which one I’m hoping for!! So say a prayer!
On the school front, my Spanish independent study has begun and I literally have to FORCE myself to sit down and do it! Also, I’ve heard that SING practices are WELL on their way!! For those of you who don’t know, Baylor is a school with a TON of traditions and the All-University SING competition is one of them! Basically, all of the fraternities and sororities compete with each other and it’s so fun! Kappa’s always tend to do really well!! Here’s our act from 2008 when we competed with Kappa Sigma and won first place!!

ANYWHOS. I have a babysitting job tonight and I’m going to need to take a nap before I do ANYTHING seriously productive. Then after babysitting, I’ll be having a girl’s night out just like this one from the picture below!! Caroline and I went out dancing with some of her fellow Vogue interns!! It was a blast!
ADIOS!!
