What’s YOUR Personal Decorating Style?

First, take this quiz.

If you got classic with a twist…try these decorating ideas!

Pick two neutrals (I like either navy and white, or black and white) and add graphic prints and pops of color (like the lime green shown here). The good thing about this look is that you don’t really need to stick to one specific type of furniture, in fact, the more ecclectic the pieces, the better it looks! Just be sure to stick to your color scheme.
PS-Graphic pillows look great, but can cost a fortune. DIY your own with fabric and pillows from a craft store!

If you got beachy boho…try these decorating ideas!

Beachy boho is all about laid-back cool style. I tied the blues and golds in from this beach scene, and I think they go really well together. Stick to materials like canvas, raw wood, and wicker. You don’t want anything too “polished” or high-maintenance for this look, it’s supposed to look au natural! Bonus points if you have ocean-scented candles.
PS-Put sand in a hurricane votive (big glass vase) and sit thick candles in the sand. It looks so chic.

If you got modern…check these design tips out!

A lot of people think that modern has to look space-agey. Personally I think that’s done to death and I like to think of “modern” as the opposite! Take this tip and head back to the 1960’s with these bright colors, sleek silhouettes, and of course, rockstar artwork. The look is bright, clean, and chic. If that’s not modern, I don’t know what is.
PS-You don’t need real Warhol to make this room work, just print out the pics from the internet and frame them yourself!

If you got romantic…check these design tips out!

This look is gorgeous, especially if you have a Paris fetish! It may look expensive, but with these tips and tricks, you won’t need to break your bank. Incorporate neutrals and light pastels in your bedding, paint, and artwork. Head over to Goodwill or Salvation Army and pick up some vintage suitcases to stack as a bedside table. If they’re ugly, you can always paint them a different color for a couple bucks more.
