Welcome to Her Campus High School

Hey Her Campus readers!

When I first came across Her Campus last year as a junior at Needham High School, I was instantly hooked! I read articles about toning up for spring break and dealing with difficult roommates every morning over breakfast. But even though I loved to read about college life, I couldn’t relate to a lot of the content on the site since I was still in high school.

Last summer, I interned in the Her Campus office in Harvard Square. Everything I loved about the site – the energy, the sense of fun, and the amazing network of college girls across the country – was present in the office. After I finished my internship at the end of the summer, I continued to stay involved as a contributing writer and blogger.

This winter, I was accepted to New York University’s Class of 2015, where I plan on studying journalism. While I’m thrilled to finally be a part of college life, I know there’s still a need for content written specifically for girls getting ready for college on Her Campus. Preparing for college comes with its own unique set of questions and challenges. That’s why I’m so excited to be the editor of Her Campus’s newest addition, the High School section, for girls who aren’t quite collegiettes™ yet. Pre-collegiettes™ (high school girls), now HC has stuff just for you, too!

Whether you’re stressing out about the SATs or need tips for dealing with senioritis, the new high school section has you covered. Check back daily to read articles about SAT prep, college visits, and teacher recommendations, as well as blog posts written by current high school students about getting ready for college. Enjoy, and as always, let us know what you think!
