Do you use a form of LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) and love it? Well ISIS, inc. and Bedsider would like to hear about it! They have teamed up to create a contest called Works Like A Charm to get girls to talk about using LARC to prevent unintended pregnancy. LARC includes the IUD, implant (i.e., Norplant), contraceptive shot (e.g., Depo Provera), the ring (i.e., Nuva Ring) and the contraceptive patch.Â
The rules of the contest are very simple. You have to submit a picture of yourself holding a sign that states your LARC method of choice. Alongside this, submit a brief statement that says, “I love my IUD because…”. Or, you can enter the contest as a couple! Â Include your boy in the photo and add a second statement–“He loves my patch because…”. You can view some examples here.
Now, for the prizes: first-place solo winners receive $1,000 or a whopping $2,000 for couples! Second-place winners receive an amazing 64GB iPad, or cash equivalent. Surely a little extra money or an iPad could help you out this year at school…just for being a safe and responsible collegiette™.
