It seems as though everyone and their mamas is watching The Bachelorette, and Becca Kufrin is the lucky girl who gets to choose her dream dude. One man from season 14 stuck out to fans, and who else could it be other than Colton Underwood, A.K.A. super awesome Olympian gymnast and feminist activist, Aly Raisman’s ex-boyfriend. What kind of tea are we sippin’ on here?
The two held a pretty high-profile relationship for about a year until they ended due to long distance. Colton went viral back in 2016 when he asked Aly out on a date after the Rio Olympics. When discussing the relationship at the time, Aly said, “Obviously you want a guy who can date a girl who’s successful and driven in her career and has a goal, but you don’t want that to be the reason why they’re dating you.”
Of course, Colton already had some of his own fame as he used to be a pro-football player for the San Diego Chargers, and he is dedicating his post-athlete life to helping kids with cystic fibrosis. Nowadays, you can find Colton posting wholesome Instagram pictures of his dog, his family, and some selfies of him doing some athletic stuff like hiking and golfing.
Even though people were clearly rooting for Colton as soon as they learned about his past relationship with Aly, fans were quick to point out that they’ll only support him if he treated Aly right.
