A UK Customs Agent Didn’t Believe John Krasinski Was Legit Married To Emily Blunt & TBH He Feels The Same Way

At this point it’s clear—John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are #relationshipgoals. Between talking about the adorable way they met, or sharing cute stories about their kids, they are hands down one of the best celeb couples out there.

So, as they embark on the press tour for their new film, A Quiet Place, which Krasinski directed and co-wrote, you know we are going to get some more cute moments. Last night Krasinski stopped by The Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon, and of course he shared another funny story about his relationship with Blunt.

While she was filming Mary Poppins Returns, Krasinski went to London to visit his wife, and he had a run-in with a customs agent. While it was initially a positive experience, when Krasinski moved on to another agent, he could tell that things were about to get rough.

“He said, ‘It says here that you’re an actor. Would I know you from anything?’” Krasinski said. “And I went, ‘You know, we redid the U.K. version of The Office.

This didn’t sit well with the agent, who then asked a follow up question.

“And then he says, ‘Who are you visiting here?’” Krasinski continued. “And I was like, ‘My wife,’” said the star. “He says, ‘Oh, is she an actress? Would I know her?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know man, her name’s Emily Blunt.’ And he goes like this, ‘You? You married Emily Blunt? Go. Just go.’”

It turns out Krasinski shares the customs agent’s shock that he ended up with Emily Blunt, as earlier in the interview he told the audience, “I married up and don’t I know it.”

A Quiet Place hits theatres April 6.
