With each major celeb event comes a wealth of fabulous memes across TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram. Last year’s Met Gala theme, In America: An Anthology of Fashion, yielded some exquisite celeb outfits and interactions. You may recall Emma Chamberlain and Jack Harlow’s red carpet moment where they exchanged “Love you”‘s with one another. Kylie Jenner also wore a now-viral outfit consisting of a ruffly wedding gown paired with a netted veil attached to a backward white baseball cap.

With this year’s theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, the outfits are helping the internet run wild.

OK, I know a lot of the guys show up in black suits, but they do look pretty snazzy IMHO.

But really… Twitter is super over some men not stepping up their Met Gala game.

Some people on Twitter also have jokes about the not-so-red carpet at this year’s Met Gala. It’s giving old movie theater carpet TBH.

And look at these totally real guests who arrived!

Honestly, the mothers are mothering tonight.
