Want A Job Watching TikTok? Your Wish Just Came True

Are you guilty of scrolling endlessly on TikTok? The short-form video app is Gen Z’s new Google, where millions of viewers are spending hours swiping through the short clips that range from a variety of topics and viral trends, including Day In The Life and the ever-popular Get Ready With Me videos.

If you’re constantly flipping through your FYP on TikTok, you may have the opportunity to make good on the ~hard work~ you’re already doing. Influencer marketing agency Ubiquitous is looking for three TikTok-obsessed individuals to become professional TikTok watchers. Yep, you read that right.

As part of the job, each watcher will get paid $1,000 — $100 per hour for 10 hours of watching TikTok. After watching your 10 hours of TikTok, the company wants you to post a video about your experience as a professional watcher and tag Ubiquitous on TikTok. You will also fill out a document describing the recurring trends that you notice.

Ubiquitous’ stacked team of strategists run data-driven marketing campaigns on YouTube, Instagram, and, you guessed it — TikTok. Their YouTube videos range from Influencer Marketing 101 to how TikTok’s algorithm works. Each video gets straight to the point on why each strategy is important so that you can become one of the top influencers.

Ubiquitous is taking advantage of the 150 million active TikTok users in the United States per month  to help them discover emerging trends throughout the country. The watchers are in charge of helping find up-and-coming trends throughout TikTok for the Instagram influencer marketing company.

Last year, the influencer marketing company paid $50 an hour for individuals to scroll on TikTok for 12 hours over the course of three days, with the total amount of pay equivalent to $600.

How To Apply To Ubiquitous’ Tiktok watcher 2.0 job

Ready to apply? Ubiquitous is looking for individuals who are at least 18 years old who are already familiar with the platform and who know how to spot trends. To submit your application, first, you have to subscribe to the Ubiquitous YouTube channel to ensure that you stay up to date on the job opening. Next, make sure to fill out the application on the Ubiquitous website. A third but optional step is to tweet and tag @Ubiquitous_HQ about why you believe you should be chosen as a watcher. While it’s optional, Ubiquitous says that doing this will help you “receive priority consideration in the selection process,” aka raise the likelihood of you getting the job.

The application will close on May 31, and the candidates will be notified seven days later. Good luck, and may the best watcher win!
