Taylor Swift’s Publicist Squashed That Joe Alwyn Marriage Rumor With An Epic Response

Whenever anyone in the Taylor Swift Cinematic Universe posts a picture — especially one containing an important revelation about a fan-favorite song — social media erupts into chaos. This is exactly what happened after Swift released “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming platforms on Nov. 29. Following the song’s release, many were convinced that the lyrics point to Swift’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, especially since the song was written back in 2021, according to singer’s longtime producer and bestie, Jack Antonoff.

But that’s not all. In addition to this speculation, the celebrity gossip site Deuxmoi shared an Instagram story post claiming Swift had a “ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a ‘marriage’ by more than one person.” Although we love some piping hot tea, Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, was quick to shut down this rumor. In an iconic move, Paine took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to set the record straight while calling out the celebrity gossip account for spreading “fabricated lies.”

“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi,” Paine tweeted. “There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. “This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

After seeing Paine’s epic response, Swifties rushed to X to share their top-tier reactions to this pretty messy debacle.

Unexpectedly, Deuxmoi responded to Paine’s tweet on their Instagram Story, claiming they weren’t spreading lies while clapping back at the famed publicist.

“Well I make zero dollars from lying.. can publicists say the same,” the post read. “Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words.”

Despite going after Paine in the post, Deuxmoi apologized to Swift. “Either way, I apologize to Taylor,” the response concluded.

Yep, DeuxMoi did not know who they were messing with.
