Taylor Swift has made the (understandable) decision to keep things with her beau actor Joe Alwyn a lot more low-key than her previous relationships — but the couple surprised us all by showing some adorable PDA at the Jingle Bell Ball in London over the weekend, and Swifties are shook.
According to People (as well as tons of super excited Swiftie tweets), following Taylor’s set at the London concert, she and Joe were spotted slow dancing, kissing and just getting generally cozy while Tay’s BFF Ed Sheeran took to the stage to sing “Perfect.” (Which, in case you were unaware, also happens to be one of Ed’s most adorable love songs.)
“TAYLOR AND JOE ARE SWAYING WITH HER HEAD IN HIS F—ING SHOULDER KISSING TO PERFECT I GOTTA HCKING LEAVE THE ARENA,” one fan who witnessed the whole thing wrote on Twitter. (In all caps to emphasize the urgency of the situation, obvi.)

There also happens to be photo evidence of the whole thing so we can all see them be the epitome of #CoupleGoals for ourselves.
Despite the fact that they went public with their relationship back in May of this year, public spottings of the couple are still pretty rare — not to mention any in which Taylor and Joe do anything more than hold hands. Considering the fact that all of Madison Square Garden was pretty much shut down to give the couple privacy when Taylor performed at Jingle Ball in New York City only 24 hours before, we definitely weren’t expecting this.
“Taylor had her own private party backstage at MSG tonight before the show,” a source told Us Weekly about Taylor’s Jingle Ball performance on Saturday. “She arrived at MSG via an inside garage with her boyfriend Joe. Everyone was having a great time and Taylor was beaming. But it was completely cornered off. No one saw. They cleared every hallway for her to enter and leave.”
Meanwhile, sources have told People that her relationship with Joe is super serious and that even her family is hoping it will last — so it’s totally understandable why she wants a little more privacy than she has in past relationships.
