We bring you sad, sad news today, collegiettes, but we can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Taylor and Conor Kennedy have sadly parted ways, but according to all sources, it was an amicable split.
“They quietly parted ways a while ago,” a friend of Taylor’s tells US Weekly. “It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They’re fine.” The former lovebirds reportedly haven’t seen each other in over a month, according to the same source.
Taylor, 22, was first linked to Kennedy, 18, in July, and despite their age difference, the fact that he is a high school student at Deerfield Academy, and rumors of family drama, it seemed that their relationship was going strong even into the fall. In an interview with Rolling Stone that hit stands earlier in October, Taylor was gushing about her relationship with Conor. And just earlier this week, Perez reported that Swift had purchased a house in Hyannis Port, across the street from Ethel Kennedy.
But apparently none of that can make up for the fact that they just didn’t have much time to spend together. We’re all sad, of course, but we’ll move on. I mean, we get it – she has a brand new album to promote, and he probably has homework.
