Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives follow. The Taylor Frankie Paul saga continues. On Sept. 10, Season 5 of SLOMW dropped, and fans got the inside scoop on what happened immediately after Paul filmed The Bachelorette — including the impact the show had on her romantic relationships. And while fans were expecting updates on her love triangle with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, and Bachelorette winner Doug Mason, it turns out that another one of Paul’s exes, Ben Lambert, became a major part of the season.
ICYMI, fans learned in Season 4 that Paul entered a relationship with Lambert, a country singer whom she met on TikTok. The relationship was brief, as the two ended things when Paul left to film The Bachelorette in October 2025. Shortly after filming, it was leaked that Paul got engaged to Mason at the end of the show — however, the two called off the engagement about a month afterward, in January 2025.
Season 5 of SLOMW picks up immediately following Paul’s stint on The Bachelorette, where she immediately expressed doubt about her relationship with Mason. And after returning to Utah, Paul reveals she slept with Mortensen, despite her engagement. But that’s not where the predicament ends: Paul also says that she’s not interested in Mortensen or Mason, but that she’s actually “in love” with Lambert.
So, Paul breaks off her engagement with Mason and pursues a relationship with Lambert — eventually bringing him to New York City for the opening night of castmate Whitney Leavitt’s stint in Broadway’s Chicago. However, due to her contract with The Bachelorette, Paul says that her relationship with Lambert has to be kept a secret until May 2026.
However, Paul and Lambert end up ending things pretty quickly, as the two realize they have different long-term goals — with Lambert wanting to settle down, and Paul unsure of what she wants out of a relationship.
Season 5 abruptly ends two episodes later, though, following a domestic assault investigation between Paul and Mortensen, with “allegations made in both directions.” At the time of publication, no criminal charges have been filed following the investigation. “This public atrocity that I not only lived through once but twice now, on even a bigger scale was ultimately the cost to my freedom,” Paul wrote on an Instagram post following the Salt Lake City court’s decision to deny filing criminal charges. “I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy or even the ones who publicized it.”

After the show, it looks like Paul and Lambert haven’t rekindled their relationship. The two don’t follow each other on Instagram, and they haven’t posted with each other at all on social media. Currently, it appears that Paul is single and focusing on her mental health.
