I have a love-hate relationship with American Apparel. Conveniently located halfway between my dorm and my classes, I pass by the hipster-chic store at least twice a day. Every single time, no matter how rushed I am to make it to lecture, I’m always tempted to drop in and shop… at least for just a few minutes. Usually, I try to maintain a semblance of self-control and keep walking. As a collegiette™, it’s pretty tough to justify dropping $44 on a cotton mini dress when I know I can buy something similar at Forever 21 for half the price. But next time I walk by, I might just have to change my mind thanks to CollegeBudget.
CollegeBudget is an online deal site just for students. After signing up with an .edu email address, you’ll have access to a variety of cool deals every day. My favorite current CollegeBudget deal? Spend $25, get $50 worth of clothing and accessories from American Apparel. You can purchase a deal to be redeemed online or in stores, with a limit of three deals per person per type. (Translation? If you really want to go all out and buy $150 for $75 online and $150 for $75 in stores, shop to your heart’s content!)
All of a sudden, that $44 minidress is mine for $25, with six dollars to spare. Score!
$25. $50 worth of clothing and accessories. What will you buy? Shop CollegeBudget!
