In an interview with KISS FM Britain, Selena revealed that we can thank the Jonas Brothers for bringing the besties together. The two were dating Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas around the same time—Nick was with Selena, and Joe was with Taylor—and that’s how they met and immediately became friends. “It was amazing, because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots. And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked.” Aww!
Neither of them is dating any member of the Jonas family now, but Selena made sure to remind us that chapter is closed and everyone is on good terms. “It was the best thing we got out of those relationships,” Sel said. “They’re lovely, by the way. We’re all friends now.
