Not too long ago, it appeared as though Taylor Swift and Kanye West had put their differences aside and become friends. Or at least that’s how things looked when Taylor presented the MTV Video Vanguard Award to her “friend” Kanye last year. However, after dropping a new album, Kanye has managed to send Swifties into an outrage with one song lyric in particular. In the song “Famous,” Kanye claims that he’s responsible for making Taylor famous. And while Kanye says that the crude lyric was Taylor’s idea, somehow we’re not convinced. Since the incident occurred, everyone has been weighing in, from Taylor’s brother to members of her squad. In a recent interview with SiriusXM, Selena Gomez finally voiced her thoughts on the highly publicized feud.
When asked about the controversy, Selena responded in the classiest way possible. “Everybody has their own opinion. At the end of the day, you can just do what you do,” Selena said. In regards to how Taylor is dealing with the situation, Selena seems confident that her bestie is quite all right. “She’s killing it and she kind of always has been,” the singer added. We expected nothing less.
