Selena Gomez is Deleting Posts About Justin Bieber From Her Instagram Account

It looks like Selena Gomez has proved once and for all that she is over Justin Bieber.

Over the weekend, a fan account noticed that the pop singer had removed a post about her ex that she originally shared for his birthday, E! News reports.

“March 1, 1994 someone I know that happens to be super cool was born. Boom,” the “Back to You” singer captioned the post, which featured a snapshot of herself smiling with a Polaroid picture of the then-couple.

It’s not exactly clear why Gomez deleted the post, but it sure didn’t go unnoticed.  And it may not be the only Bieber-related photo that she has removed from her account, as fans will have a hard time finding any photos of him when scrolling through her Instagram feed.

It feels like forever since Gomez and Bieber dated, and, after all, Bieber is currently married to model Hailey Baldwin.

The “What Do You Mean?” singer fired back at an Instagram user in March after the internet troll claimed that he only married Baldwin to “get back” at his ex, Cosmopolitan reports.

“Ur immature the fact that you have an account dedicated to dissing my wife and I is absolutely absurd why would I dedicate my whole life to someone in marriage to get back at my ex, anyone who believes this is mean spirited or 10 years old or younger because a logical person doesn’t talk or think this way u should be ashamed to yourself really,” Bieber wrote in part of his response.

Admitting that he still loved Gomez, Bieber added, “I absolutely loved and love Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heels in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period.”

A few weeks later, Baldwin responded to trolls saying she was “second best” to Gomez.

“You little internet kiddos need to learn how to move on for real. We’re adults that have better things to do than waste time explaining something just so you can stop your delusional fantasies,” Baldwin wrote.

Gomez has also been dealing with issues unrelated to her ex or her love life. Being careful with what she posts on social media, the pop singer took time off of her social media accounts in 2018 to stay at a treatment facility, where she spent a few months focusing on her anxiety and depression, E! News reports.

“I think our world is going through a lot,” Gomez said at a press conference during the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, according to Variety. “I would say for my generation, specifically, social media has really been terrible. It does scare me when you see how exposed these young boys and young girls are. They are not aware of the news. I think it’s dangerous for sure. I don’t think people are getting the right information sometimes.”

While Gomez said she was “grateful” to have the social media platform, she said she doesn’t share “a lot of pointless pictures.”

“For me, I like to be intentional with it,” Gomez added. “It just scares me. I’ll see these young girls at meet and greets. They are devastated, dealing with bullying and not being able to have their own voice. It can be great in moments. I would be careful and allow yourself some time limits of when you should use it.”
