Robert Pattinson Discussed The Possibility Of A ‘Twilight’ Reunion, But I’m Not Sure It’ll Actually Happen

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Twilight’s rerelease into theaters in honor of its 10-year anniversary this October, and it sure seems like a lot of people would be excited to see Twilight return. Robert Pattinson might not be one of those people.

Variety talked to Robert about his upcoming sci-fi movie High Life and Twilight inevitably came up, as I can imagine has been the case for the past ten years. “The amount of time I’ve spent moisturizing, I am ready to play 17 at a moment’s notice,” he joked when asked about the possibility of a Cullen family reunion. “I’ve got the Botox out.”

It’s been very well-documented that Robert doesn’t take his role as immortal teenage vampire Edward Cullen too seriously, and it looks like that’s still the case. After all these years, he still feels the impact of his breakout role.

“I think I stopped mentally progressing around the time when I started doing those movies, so it feels like not a day has passed.”

Robert’s been spending his post-vampire years taking on artsy roles in indie films to expand his range, but he still understands the way Twilight has resonated with the public. “Whenever anyone says [‘Twilight’]’s their guilty pleasure, it’s like, you say guilty, what you really mean is just pleasure,” he said.

Although he says he might be down for a reunion or even another movie, there’s still a lot of other power players we’d need involved. Will Kristen Stewart be into it? Taylor Lautner? Only time will tell.
