Fans Have A Question About Reneé Rapp’s Deluxe ‘Everything To Everyone’ EP

Reneé Rapp is giving fans new music, but will it be the music so many fans want? Rapp posted an announcement to her Instagram and TikTok on Feb. 16 announcing that she’d be releasing the deluxe version of her debut EP, Everything to Everyone. She captioned her in-feed Instagram post, “everything to everyone deluxe out 2/24…can’t wait for you to hear what’s new.”

Thankfully, Rapp didn’t make us wait too long for new music. The original version of her first EP came out on Nov. 11, 2022, following her first single “Tattoos.”

Rapp’s music clearly takes inspiration from classic pop and the production side of R&B. Her songs are known for being emotional, and they’re perfect for screaming at the top of your lungs in your car alone.

The singer’s original TikTok announcement included a typo stating the deluxe EP would be out Feb. 14. Fans were quick to point out the mistake, which Rapp corrected promptly. She posted a photo of herself in a recording studio to her Instagram story saying, “2/24 sorry we’re recording mean girls and I am multitasking.”

If you’re familiar with Rapp, you know she loves to tease her fans. I’ve done some digging through her socials to figure out as much as I can about what we can expect from the deluxe version.

There might be a song about Jesus (I’m serious).

Rapp has posted snippets of songs she has been working on since her EP release. The song she has posted the most about on TikTok and Twitter is seemingly titled “Jesus Christ.”

In the lyrics we’ve heard so far, Rapp sings about changing for someone she saw a lot of potential in and inevitably put on a pedestal. The pop singer isn’t religious, but the person she’s singing about had such a strong hold over her that she saw them as a higher power — Jesus.

Fans might be getting “Bruises.”

If there’s one thing going for all the “Bruises” fans out there, it’s that Genius seems to think the song is on the deluxe edition of the EP. This song has been an unreleased favorite for many Rapp listeners. On her recent tour, Rapp gave in and sang “Bruises” in multiple cities.

In this tweet from Feb. 10, Rapp teased “Bruises” by captioning her photo with the lyrics “all my friends make sweet fun of me.”

Since so many of Rapp’s fans (including me) want a studio release, it’s likely to be included in the deluxe.

“Baguettes.” No, not the bread.

No, Rapp didn’t write a song about the very-loved type of bread. I didn’t know this before I heard about Rapp’s song, but a baguette is also a cut of diamond. They are longer, rectangular cuts of stone.

“Baguettes” is another unreleased song that Rapp’s fans are obsessed with. Some fans have gone so far as bringing baguettes to her shows, writing messages on the bread for the pop singer.

Rapp wrote “Baguettes” when she was 18. She explained why she wrote it during a TikTok Live, saying she was in her “talking sh*t era.” The song gives Ariana Grande “7 rings” vibes.

In my opinion, it’s less likely fans will get “Baguettes,” at least in its original form. I could see Rapp sampling part of the song, but it isn’t really her type of music anymore. It doesn’t seem like it would flow well with the rest of the EP.

Why does Rapp hate Boston?

On Feb. 4, Rapp tweeted a screenshot of an audio recording called “I Hate Boston.” This comes after telling a reporter she was writing another song about a location. This one would be different from “Colorado,” since the city was the hometown of Rapp’s ex.

While we don’t know if “I Hate Boston” is the song she’s talking about, there is a good possibility. I have to say, there’s no better reason to hate a city than old memories with an ex.
