Prince Harry Revealed He Hopes the Royal Baby Will Be a Girl & We Are Tickled Pink By His Excitement

Meghan Markle might be taking it easy during the royal tour of Australia due to her pregnancy, but Prince Harry is going full steam ahead, greeting fans and telling them his hopes for the royal baby. Specifically, that he hopes the royal baby will be a girl, and we are tickled pink by Harry’s excitement for his little bundle of joy.

According to Cosmopolitan, during an event in Australia, a woman called out to Harry, saying, “I hope it’s a girl!” When Harry couldn’t hear the fan, he replied, “What?”

The fan then repeated, again saying, “I hope it’s a girl!”

Harry quickly replied, “So do I!” as he walked away.

Aww! The Duke of Sussex’s excitement for his baby was sweetly captured on video.

Also, could Harry possibly be hinting at the gender of his and Meghan’s child? While this is the first time that we have heard anything about the royal baby’s gender, Harry did previously joke that he thought  “Harriet” would be a great name, and it is typically a girl’s name.

Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting their first child earlier this month, and the Duchess of Sussex is expected to be about 14 weeks along in her pregnancy.

Kensington Palace announced in a statement over the weekend that the royal couple “decided to cut back The Duchess’s schedule slightly” over the next few days during their ongoing 16-day royal tour of Australia.

“She’s feeling fine but resting,” a royal source told ABC News. “We have to make sure she is well-paced and not overdoing it.”

“She wants to do everything, but Prince Harry is encouraging her to pace herself,” the source said. “If it has been a very late night due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to adjust for that.”

We are just so excited for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and can’t wait for them to welcome their little bundle of joy!
