The end is near: On October 26, Pretty Little Liars officially wrapped production, meaning that our days of casually Instagram-stalking the picture-perfect cast on set are over. While the series doesn’t begin airing its final episodes on Freeform until April 2017 (thank goodness!), our emotions just weren’t prepared for show creator I. Marlene King’s goodbye letter to the PLL cast and crew.
King took to Cosmopolitan‘s Instagram account to post the message, calling the show “my home away from home for the last seven seasons.” She promised that all five PLL ladies will be featured in the show’s last shot and that “friendships have been made and sealed over the love our passionate fans have for PLL.”
We don’t know which part of this letter made us cry more—was it the throwback to Spencer quoting Winnie the Pooh or King’s perfect last line? An extra tear or two may have been shed after reading it because of the group shot King posted when Keegan Allen finished his work on the series. While it’s great to know that we still have a little more PLL to look forward to, we can’t help but feel nostalgic and weepy about seeing messages like this. Congrats on an amazing run, PLL!
