On Wednesday, a police report was filed by a 17-year-old elite prep school student who claimed to be raped by an ex-boyfriend. D.C. police are now investigating the matter.
The victim at Sidwell Friends School claims that a friend whom she had a previous sexual relationship with forced her to have sex on Wednesday at around 2:30pm on school property. The investigation is still in its early stages and no arrests have been made.
Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. is one of the most reputable schools in the country. With tuition rounding out at about $38,000 a year, the school is attended by the children of many of D.C.’s most elite figures, including Sasha and Malia Obama.
According to Ellis Turner, associate head of the school, though Sidwell is working with law enforcement to ensure a proper investigation, the school still chooses not to comment on the situation.
“It is the longstanding policy of Sidwell Friends School to cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation,” he said. “It is also our policy not to comment on such investigations.”
