Phoebe Bridgers & Paul Mescal Might Be Engaged & Fans Are Unwell

I don’t think you understand how much I love Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal. When I first found out that the two were dating over a couple of years ago — and that they literally met and flirted on Twitter —  my heart physically couldn’t take it. And now, the “Motion Sickness” singer and Normal People star are reportedly engaged, and I honestly might need three to five business days to recover from the news.

On Nov. 6, in an exclusive interview with Mescal, The Guardian shared that Bridgers and Mescal are reportedly engaged. However, The Cut noted that The Guardian piece originally said “engaged,” and then changed the wording to “reported to be engaged” — hmm, interesting. (Her Campus reached out to both Bridgers’ and Mescal’s teams for comment on if the couple is actually engaged, but did not hear back by the time of publication.)

The alleged engagement sent fans into a spiral on social media as they rushed to share their love (and jealousy) for both Bridgers and Mescal and their adorable relationship. And honestly, whether the two are officially engaged or not, I don’t care — I just want them both to be happy (although, who’s going to be all over my sad girl autumn playlist now?)!
