Whoever thought the “D” in Pauly D would stand for daddy?
The news only broke two days ago that Jersey Shore cast member Paul DelVecchio—better known as Pauly D—is the father of a 5-month-old girl named Amabella Sophia, and already he is reported to be waging a custody battle over the child.
According to reports, Pauly D isn’t convinced that the baby’s 25-year-old mother, Amanda Markert, is fit to raise the child, due to the fact that the woman was once a Hooters waitress and already has a child with another father.
Amanda is said to have uploaded a picture of the child in her high chair playing with several $100 bills, adding further evidence to Pauly D’s claim.
“He feels like she’s treating the kid like a winning lottery ticket,” an insider at TMZ said.
An insider for the Daily News confirmed both that Amanda wants financial support from Pauly D, and that Pauly D would like some kind of custodial rights to his child.
We bet Pauly D is really wishing he could “stop the drama” now!
