Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian reunited at the annual KarJenner holiday bash hosted by Kris Jenner on Christmas Eve. Although both are pop culture royalty, the pair have had their rough patches—but they also share a decade of friendship.
Kim’s first taste of the spotlight, which was documented on Hilton’s reality show, The Simple Life, was as Paris’ personal assistant. As Kardashian became a household name, the pair drifted apart and made jabs at each other in the media, in an attempt to one-up each other.
In an April 2015 interview with Yahoo Style, Hilton appeared to take credit for Kardashian’s success. “It’s nice to inspire people,” she said. “We’ve known each other since we were little girls, we’ve always been friends.”
Their last joint photo op was in 2014. Kim posted the pic on Instagram with the caption, “Reminiscing about the first time we went to Ibiza in 2006!”
There have always been hints of drama between the two, but there seemed to be no bad blood between them at Kardashian’s family Christmas party. This month marks two months since Kim was robbed, so it’s reassuring to see her in good spirits, surrounded by family and friends.
