If there’s one thing Olivia Rodrigo is always going to do, it’s turn heads with her iconic outfits — and her look at the 2024 Grammys is no exception. O Rod arrived on the red carpet at Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles wearing an archival Gianni Versace spring 1995 gown to the Grammys, originally worn by Linda Evangelista. Her look is very old Hollywood, and I’m so here for it.
Versace and Rodrigo are a match made in heaven. Some of her most iconic looks, such as her 2023 Met Gala look or her Atelier Versace dress at the 2021 VMA’s, are Versace as well, ICYMI.
Rodrigo is already a three-time Grammy award winner and was up for six awards in the categories of Best Rock Song (“Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl”), Song Of The Year (“Vampire”), Best Pop Vocal Album (GUTS), Album Of The Year (GUTS), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Vampire”), and Record Of The Year (“Vampire”).
Rodrigo had the chance to make some Grammys history tonight. If she were to win in the category for Best Pop Solo Performance, Rodrigo would’ve joined Ed Sheeran (two wins) and Adele (four wins) as the only artists who have won twice or more in the category.
Despite Rodrigo being in her rockstar era, this look shows a very elevated and elegant side of her. And she looks amazing. Perhaps this means there is a new era upon us.
Now, it seemed like people were expecting O Rod to wear something that was giving more of a “rockstar” look, but it’s clear that she can pull off any look.
