Not so Funday Monday

 

Mondays are rough. After the relaxation and fun of the weekend, classes, meetings and piles of work are a bit of a reality check. Even more of a reality check is the fact that there are only a little over three weeks left of my junior year of college.

After deferring my run to the afternoon to get a little extra sleep, I had a hearty bowl of cereal for breakfast to start me off on the right foot for my busy day. For lunch I had a Luna bar between classes and then some fruit, yogurt and granola a little bit later.

My 40 minute run this afternoon was great, but it was definitely a struggle to finish. Today was hot and muggy, which as a long time Georgian I should be used to, but it always takes a run or two to get reacquainted with the heat again. I am hoping that we still get a few more pretty spring days before the full on summer heat though!

After my run I snacked on a 100 calorie pack of pretzels with some chocolate hazelnut butter. No the chocolate hazelnut butter was not necessary, but it was a good little pick me up in my late afternoon slump.

It ended up being a good thing that I had a larger snack today, because my meetings ran late and I didn’t get to eat dinner until almost 9 o’clock! I hate eating late, so I just grabbed a Chick-fil-A Chargrilled Chicken Salad to keep my stomach from growling in the library…I don’t want any angry stares directed my way.
