Eight-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee’s “Superbass” cover not only garnered over 12 million views on YouTube, but it also scored the pint-sized diva a spot on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she and her 5-year-old “hype girl” and cousin Rosie were treated to a Toys R’ Us shopping spree.
After an adorable introduction (complete with shrill exclamations of excitement and lots of hugs),  Nicki Minaj, who had been “blown away” by Sophia’s performance, asked  the eight year old to sing the bridge of the song and gave her some sound advice. Minaj, kneeling down to speak to Brownlee at her level, told her, “You are incredible. I just want you to stay in school. Music is beautiful, but stay in school, okay? Put your books first and singing second.”
The pop star also let the Brownlee try on one of her famous wigs and then joined her in a rendition of the smash hit. The last surprise was a shopping spree, sponsored by Minaj at Toys R’ Us. Check out the video of the shopping spree on Ellen’s YouTube channel!!
