Community fans received shocking news Monday night.
The highly anticipated season premiere that was supposed to air on Oct. 19 would be delayed till… well, no one knows.
NBC already took Community fans on a full rollercoaster ride at the end of last season when Dan Harmon, the show’s creator, was removed and Community received a Friday night slot, reported The New York Times. After all of that drama and passionate petitions to keep the comedy on air, NBC just threw Community fans more devastating news.
Whitney, another comedy show that would have premiered on Oct. 19, has also been postponed indefinitely.
“Without having to launch these comedies on Friday at this time, we can keep our promotion focused on earlier in the week,” read NBC’s statement. Its programs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are doing so well that officials plan on concentrating on promotions for those rather than balancing those and the comedy shows.
Fans can expect the new dates of the season premieres in a few weeks, according to the released statement.
