Fans Think Miranda Cosgrove Is Her ‘iCarly’ Character IRL After This Interview

Live life, breathe air, it’s settled – Miranda Cosgrove definitely wasn’t acting in iCarly and her recent interview has many convinced she didn’t have to dig deep down to play her beloved Nickelodeon character. On Dec. 18, Miranda reunited with her TV brother, Josh Peck on his podcast Good Guys with Ben Soffer. The podcast began with Cosgrove reminiscing with Peck about their time together on the iconic Nickelodeon series Drake and Josh. Though it was great to see these former co-stars back together, a confession from Cosgrove during the podcast shook social media more than her viral “cuss a little” moment in 2020.

In 2022, Cosgrove went viral on TikTok after a podcast interview with Whitney Cummings resurfaced on the internet. The actress revealed that she used curse words from time to time and when asked what her favorite curse word was, she said “probably f*ck.” The internet lost it over Cosgrove’s bubbly delivery of the swear word thus, solidifying her role as the most “innocent” ex- Nickelodeon star ever.”

During the Good Guys podcast, Peck referred to Cosgrove’s innocence and asked if she’s ever done anything bad like drink alcohol. She responded by saying, “I’ve never been drunk in my entire life” without any further explanation. She’s admitted to having a few sips of alcohol but never enough to get her drunk or buzzed.

Fans were ultimately stunned by the actress’ revelation and took to social media to comment how “innocent” she is.

Other fans commented on how Cosgrove’s the embodiment of her iCarly character, Carly Shay, who was the peppy lead of the hit Nickelodeon show.

Cosgrove is someone who truly can do no wrong in my eyes. With the actress’ sweet and calm nature, it’s evident that it didn’t take much for her to play Carly Shay. Miranda is Carly and Carly is definitely Miranda.
