As Miley Cyrus’s Cosmo cover hits stands this week, the starlet may be biting her tongue. In a tell-all interview with the magazine, she might have spilled more than she intended to. Since her engagement to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth in May, rumors have been swirling that the couple might have secretly gotten married.

“I’m happy I don’t have to date anyone,” she said. “I was like, ‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are cruel!”

Was the M-word a slip of the tongue or did she really mean to imply that she and Liam already tied the knot? Later, while gushing about how gorgeous her boy is (um, if we had him on our arm, we would, too!), she referred to him as her “hubby.”

“The other day, I turned on the pool heater and it was steaming, and he walked outside and took off his clothes and jumped in the pool. I was like, ‘I’m gonna faint — the hottest guy of my life is in a steaming pool. This looks like a Playgirl shoot.’ So I took a took a photo and made it the background on my phone. My best friend grabbed my phone and was like, ‘Who’s that? He’s so hot!’ That’s my hubby!”

On Christmas, Miley tweeted photos of her and Liam wearing matching rings. The photos have since been deleted from her account. Given Miley’s history of wearing flashy diamond rings before Liam proposed, we wouldn’t be surprised if she simply jumped the gun by calling Liam “hubby.” But clad in an all-white, braless suit reminiscent of Bianca Jagger’s famous wedding day ensemble, we wonder if the happy couple already made things official.
