Even though Victoria Beckham had previously told Vogue that the Spice Girls were not going on tour, Mel B seemed far more open to the possibility when chatting with Us Weekly. “…we are definitely going to do stuff this year, that is for sure,” she said.
Hmm. Those sound like touring words to me! Or maybe new music? General girl power badassery?
Originally, Mel B had said that the Spice Girls would be attending the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (which would be full-on ICONIC). Later, Mel C said they weren’t invited. Way to get us excited, Scary.
The Spice Girls recently reunited after six years and had us squealing after seeing this picture of them together.
Mel B said that her friends picked up right where they left off. “We are still the same, still exactly the same. Victoria turned up in black, I turned up in leopard print, my coat. Geri had her red hair going on and Mel C, actually Mel C was very lady like which was quite funny. Baby still had a blue little coat on, we were all kind of the same. We styled ourselves and we still kind of do.”
As the Spice Girls said themselves, “Friendship never ends!”
This is one piece of 90’s nostalgia I am FULLY invested in. I’m so excited to see what Ginger, Posh, Sporty, Scary, and Baby come up with in the next few years!
