Mandy Moore Didn’t Know She Was Nominated for a Golden Globe Until Milo Ventimiglia Told Her

If you haven’t watched This Is Us, you’ve probably heard that it’s the newest show breaking hearts across the U.S., and when the Golden Globe nominations were announced yesterday, fans weren’t surprised to see that the show received a few mentions.

The incredible Mandy Moore received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a television series, along with her equally amazing costar Chrissy Metz. But the best part might be that Mandy only found out about her nomination through a text from her on-screen husband, Milo Ventimiglia!

“I certainly was not expecting to be recognized for the show,” Moore told EW. “Milo was actually the one who texted me and was like, ‘Congratulations, Mandy!’ I was like, ‘Wait, on what? The show got nominated?’ He’s like, ‘No, you did!’”

This only makes us love them even more. While Milo wasn’t nominated, the show received a nomination for Best Television Series. Congratulations to Mandy, Chrissy and the entire This Is Us cast and crew. We can’t wait to see how it all shakes out at the Golden Globes.
