Loving My Her Campus Spring Break Survival Kit!

Spring Break — my favorite time of year. Worn out by midterms and the cold, coupled with the thought of being around hundreds of other college students on a warm beach somewhere distracts me for a solid month beforehand. Sometimes I feel so distracted I forgot to pack some essentials. Thankfully, I won’t be forgetting vacation essentials any longer, now that I have a Her Campus Spring Break Survival Kit!

The bag is filled with things I need on Spring Break! The kit includes:

  • OPI nail polish. Confession: I don’t always have time for a mani/pedi before Spring Break (plus my wallet prefers I spend my money on the actual vacay and not prepping for it). This new color, a bright pink “Comet Loves Cupid” is perfect for a warm local, and I can apply and reapply nail polish after the sandy beaches ruin my toenails.
  • Softlips lip conditioner. I have long been a fan of softlips — they come with SPF 15 and 20 (both selections are in my Survival Kit, win!) and they keep my lips sunburn and chap free. Perfect for my days and nights on spring break…mmm and one of the two lip balms is cherry flavored!
  • Schick Quattro for Women disposable razors have four blades, aloe conditioning strips and Raspberry Rain Skintimate scented handles! Forgetting my razor on spring break and having to buy one at a jacked up price in the hotel gift shop is bad news bears.
  • Speaking of silky smooth legs, the HC Survival Kit comes with Skintimate Raspberry Rain shave gel (so your legs will smell as good as your razor LOL). If you think that a bar of hotel soap will get your legs smooth, you’re wrong. You need that Vitamin E & olive butter in the shave gel to really get those touchable legs.
  • Kate Spade Twirl perfume and Usher VIP cologne. This way you and your spring break fling will smell good on and off the beach. Is there anything more of a turn off on Spring Break than finding out that hottie on the beach reeks of warm fruity cocktails, sweat and that fishy beach smell?
  • Eclipse gum reminds me that this Survival Kit essential will take care of another major turn off — bad breath! Let’s avoid this at all costs.
  •  A Jack Wills t-shirt — having something to cover your shoulders after a long day in the sun is definitely a must-have! Nothing hurts more than sunburnt shoulders!!
  • popchips! If you made it on the plane without cracking open this bag props to you. Popchips are SO delicious that I can’t help but eat them as soon as theyre put in front of me. Good thing they’re so low in calories!
  • Spread the HC love on SB with your classy koozie (seriously, how adorable is this? I’m obsessed) and HC temporary tattoos!

The best part of the survival kit is that when I’ve chewed all the gum, chomped down all the chips, and painted and re-painted my nails too many times to count, I have this adorable bag to tote around. It’s a perfect carryon for the plane to hold all my souvenirs and a great bag for the gym or class once you (unfortunately) get back to campus.

While the bags this year have been claimed by lucky students at Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, University of Illinois-Chicago, and the University of Texas-Austin, your school could get lucky next year! Tell us below why YOU’d LOVE a HC Survival Kit below!
