It’s already been a whole 6 months since Love Is Blind Season 2 graced Netflix with its presence. And now it’s time to catch up with the couples who made it (and didn’t) on Love Is Blind: After the Altar Season 2. Premiering on Sept. 16, this season comes right in the midst of post-show drama. And we are dying to know about the divorces, the alleged cheating, and all of the tea that occurred after the show aired.
When Was After The Altar Filmed?
So, obviously, we need to make sure the story is set straight. Love is Blind Season 2 was filmed from April to June of 2021 and ended with two successful marriages.
The Love Is Blind Season 2 reunion episode was filmed in April 2022. When the reunion was filmed both married couples were still together.
Then, Love Is Blind: After the Altar Season 2 was filmed at the end of August 2022. Let’s just say that things were less than pleasant between every couple by then. Eek.
After The Altar Was Filmed Before Most Of The Drama
The fan-favorite couple Jarrette and Iyanna only lasted from June 2021 to August 2022. Total R.I.P. From the start the pair had issues, and Iyanna moved out shortly after they finished filming Love Is Blind Season 2 explaining that she couldn’t stand Jarrette’s partying habits. From there, things quickly went sour.
“After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing,” they wrote in an Instagram joint statement in August. “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions and that’s OK. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best.”
The first couple to become engaged, Nick and Danielle, also broke things off. They announced their breakup earlier in the same week Jarrette and Iyanna called it quits, which means Love Is Blind Season 2 had zero successful marriages.
Here’s what Netflix had to say.
“Since filming, Jarrette and Iyanna, and Nick and Danielle have made the decision to end their marriages. While their journeys together have ended, love is always worth the risk,” a statement read at the end of After the Altar episode 3. “We’re grateful to the Pod Squad for opening their hearts and sharing their stories with the world.”
Are Natalie ANd Shayne Together?
If you thought Shayne was done chasing two women at once, think again. Since Natalie rejected him at the altar, Shane wanted a do-over with Natalie and asked if they could try dating. Spoiler alert: it ended badly. So they moved on… sort of.
Now, Natalie is allegedly living her best life single and ready to mingle with her girls. Her wing-women include some familiar faces like Danielle and Deepti.
Also, hello! Shaina is married. But don’t worry, she’s not married to Shayne. Instead, she found her true love in Christos Lardakis who owns a popular Greek-themed restaurant in Chicago. (It’s a bit out of the blue, but we’re happy for her)
