Lose the Freshman 15: My sizzler playlist

I’ve mentioned the sizzler in my blog a few times before, and I’ve even had a few people tweet at me that they’ve tried it. If you haven’t gotten a chance to yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to get your heart rate up when you don’t have time to go to the gym and you definitely feel a burn.

Jump rope — 3 min.

Butt kicks — 3 min.

Jumping jacks — 3 min.

Jog in place — 3 min.

Mountain climbers — 3 min.

Repeat

I personally like to do it in the morning as a way to start my day off in a healthy, energizing way. It can be hard to push yourself through the whole 30-minute work out, but I created a playlist of my favorite pump up songs to get me through it.

Maneater – Nelly Furtado

Pretty Girl Rock – Keri Hilson

Romeo – Basement Jaxx

Diva – Beyonce

Takin’ Over the World – The Pussycat Dolls

Creator – Santigold

Gold Dust – DJ Fresh (Flux Pavilion Remix)

Till the World Ends – Britney Spears

Up Up & Away – Kid Cudi

I have it in a specific order based on where I need the music to help pick me up. The playlist runs a little over 30 minutes, so about 45 seconds into Up Up & Away I know I’ve made it to the end. I use the rest of the song as a cool down and end with a little stretching.

I’m pretty positive that this playlist wouldn’t pump many people up, but hey, it works for me. I’d love to hear about your choice playlist. What is your favorite pump up song?

Still RICEing my ankle,

Samantha
