Looking Sharp & Preppy in Lacoste’s L.12.12 Polo

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lacoste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Polo fans! Prepsters! Those itching to look smart at their internship! Tennis players! Boyfriend-possessing girls looking for a killer gift! LISTEN UP.

Good, I got your attention. I have the perfect thing for you. Lacoste, the king of all things polo and preppy, has come out with a new polo shirt. Years ago, before living in quite possibly the preppiest non-New England area in the world, I would have been confused about different types of polos. But now I am well-versed in this world.

Lacoste’s L.12.12 polo comes in styles for everyone! The women’s polo (which, by the way, is currently on sale!) has the traditional fit of the other Lacoste polo’s — however it is slightly shorter than some of their other lengths. This fit gives the wearer the opportunity to show off a toned stomach every time they adjust the ribbon in their hair LOL. But for real, I like the shorter version better because it looks clean and polished, which is definitely the look I’m going for in a polo.

The men’s one is a perfect gift for your guy. I personally find guys incredibly hard to shop for, so whenever I get someone else’s seal of approval I’m basically good to go. While I can give my best about this polo, with its vibrant colors and soft 100% cotton touch, I decided to ask a guy friend of mine who is more than familiar with just about every product available in the Lacoste store.

“I own this polo in multiple colors, a blue, a green, a salmon, and a gray. It’s my go-to for golf, casual Fridays on an internship, and even going out to the bars. Actually it’s pretty much something I’d wear anywhere. It goes well with jeans, slacks, whatever. And it’s comfortable and breathable — things I really value.”

As an aside, I really like the men’s long sleeve classic pique polo, because it’s so snuggly looking and I’d want to steal it on some rainy day from a guy. Just a thought!

In addition to these much-loved polos, Lacoste also has this really cool website. My favorite feature? The ability to L.12.12 me (see photo below) where you can create a portrait of yourself in “polo art.” So cool!
