The wedding dress code of “black tie with a western twist” couldn’t be more fitting for the recent nuptials of Lauren Bush, niece of George W. Bush, and David Lauren, son of Ralph Lauren.
Bush, 27, and Lauren, 39, met in 2004 and became engaged last year. The couple had a Jewish ceremony on Sunday in Colorado after a weekend of wedding festivities which included a picnic and a softball game, and even a rodeo on Monday!
In attendance were the bride’s aunt and uncle, former President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush, along with cousins Jenna and Barbara Bush. Also among the 200 attendees was the groom’s sister, Dylan Lauren of Dylan’s Candy Bar, and father, famed fashion mogul Ralph Lauren.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about that the name change (Lauren Lauren?), the bride has decided to take the traditional route with a twist and go by Lauren Bush-Lauren. Congratulations to the happy couple!
