This was not on my 2023 bingo card! Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods reunited four years after the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal, seemingly ending their long-standing friendship.
If you don’t remember, Jenner and Woods were inseparable since childhood and even tied the knot in a commitment ceremony on the finale of Jenner’s reality show, Life of Kylie. The scandal between Thompson and Woods destroyed their friendship after news broke that Thompson kissed Woods at an L.A. house party in 2019 while Thompson was dating Jenner’s sister, Khloe Kardashian. The news came out months after Kardashian gave birth to True Thompson, and she publicly blamed Woods for “breaking up her family.” Her Campus reached out to both Jenner’s and Woods’ teams for comment on the friendship breakup and reunion, but didn’t hear back by the time of publication.
On Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith in 2019, Woods admitted she kissed Thompson at a house party in L.A. Woods said, “I know I’m not the reason that Tristian and Khloe are not together … now this situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, and I understand that.” Woods defended herself in the interview, saying, “No passion, no nothing. On the way out (of the party), he just kissed me. It was a kiss on the lips. No tongue kiss, no making out … I don’t think he’s wrong either because I allowed myself to be in this position.”
The scandal played out on Season 16, Episode 11 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians showcasing the lasting effects on the Kardashian family. Five months after the friendship breakup, Jenner unfollowed Woods on Instagram, solidifying the split. Since the fallout, Woods has created a fashion line named Woods by Jordyn, dedicated to body positivity. Woods has also had a long-term relationship with NBA star Karl Anthony Towns. Jenner went on to have baby No. 2 with Travis Scott and seemingly got even closer with long-term friend Anastasia Karanikolaou, aka Stassie.
After four years and the dust finally settled, Woods and Jenner were spotted out to dinner with friends in a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles on July 15. The Daily Mail released the viral photos on its website and confirmed the two dined together.
It’s safe to say this could be a new chapter for the two former besties. It will be interesting to see how they decide to move forward with their relationship since Kardashian and Thompson have seemingly broken up once again after dating on and off again after the scandal. They now have two kids together, having welcomed Tatum Thompson to the world in 2022 via surrogate. (For what it’s worth, Kardashian posted some cryptic quotes to her Instagram Story after Jenner and Woods were spotted together, including “it takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations” and “It’s easy to judge. It’s more difficult to understand.”)
