Kim Kardashian Knew During the Honeymoon That Her Marriage to Kris Humphries Wasn’t Going to Work

Ever felt pressure to get married and start a family? Kim Kardashian did, too, as she explained on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday.

Kim opened up to host Andy Cohen about her failed marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries. When Andy asked what her least favorite Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff is, Kim responded, “When Kourtney and I did New York because I was in that awful cry face with that last marriage I had. That whole situation was just really hard for me.”

Kardashian said she knew by the honeymoon that her marriage to Humphries wasn’t going to last but felt overwhelmed by others’ expectations. “At the time I just thought, ‘Holy shit, I’m 30 years old, I better get this together. I better get married.’ I think a lot of girls do go through that, where they freak out thinking they’re getting old and all their friends are having kids,” she explained. “So, it was more of that situation. But I knew on the honeymoon it wasn’t going to work out.”

After the infamous 72-day marriage ended in 2011, Kim went on to marry Kanye West in 2014. Now 36, she’s happily married with two children, North and Saint. Which just goes to show that everything works out in the end, even if it isn’t by the time you’re 30.
