In an interview that aired Thursday night on the new BET show Mancave, Lamar Odom didn’t shy away from the topic of his ex, Khloe Kardashian.
“I understand when it’s over, it’s over,” Odom said. “When she was with her second or third NBA ball player, I can see that.”
The quote was tweeted out, and Kim Kardashian immediately jumped to Khloe’s defense.

Kim’s comment refers to Odom being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in 2015. Khloe and the rest of her family supported him while he was in a coma and through his recovery.
Odom’s comment didn’t seem to be ill-intentioned, though. He even went on to praise Khloe, who’s currently dating and expecting a child with Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson.
“I’m happy for her,” Odom said. “She took care of me, she’ll be a good mother. For real… A great woman.”
Hopefully, there’s no love lost!
