Kate Upton: Exclusive Photos of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model

Working it on the runway, acting alongside Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy in the movie “Tower Heist,” modeling for the esteemed Victoria’s Secret and now gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated’s 2012 swimsuit issue? Believe it or not, Kate Upton has accomplished all of this and she is only 20 years old. She is a model not just on the runway, but a role model for women across the country.

Upton’s buxom, curvy, and “real-life” body inspires women to be comfortable with their curves. Curvy IS sexy and Upton is a perfect example of that. Not only is Kate Upton regarded as a realistic woman when it comes to her shape, but Upton’s fun, girl-next-door vibe seems to be winning over America. A video of Upton dancing the Dougie at a L.A. Clipper’s game immediately went viral last April, showing her exuberant and outgoing personality. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to check it out because it is somewhat responsible for launching Upton into the public eye.

Beyond her charismatic and extremely likeable personality, Upton exhibits drive, dedication, and perseverance. She got her start modeling when she was discovered at a casting call in Miami as a 15-year-old and soon after moved to New York City. However, success didn’t come easily and Upton perfected the art of self-branding to achieve her current status in the modeling industry.

With the Internet, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and a variety of other social media outlets at her fingertips, Kate Upton was able to launch her career, catching the eyes of America and several influential players in the modeling industry. After establishing her personal brand, Upton continued to model becoming ever more prominent in the pop culture world.

The hard work and dedication that Kate Upton put into forming her personal brand has clearly paid off with her recent cover status for Sports Illustrated Magazine. Lindsay Dicks, COO of The Dicks and Nanton Celebrity Branding Agency and CEO of CelebritySitesTM, an online marketing agency in Orlando, told Forbes Magazine, “Being on the cover of a Sports Illustrated will give Kate a boost in credibility for sure. But it’s the use of the cover as a marketing tool even after the cover has come and gone that will impact her career the most.”

Who knows where Kate Upton will go from here, but I am sure she has some more tricks up her sleeve. She seems to know how to attract both male and female support, which is hard to do in the modeling industry. For the meantime, I urge you to appreciate Upton’s natural, realistic beauty and her business smarts. Upton should be applauded for establishing her career and finding success at such a young age.
